Preparation of abstracts

Guidelines for the preparation of abstracts  

The Scientific Committee requests that the instructions set out below be carefully readbefore typing the abstract. Deadline: September 10, 2006
1. The deadline for submission of abstracts to the Scientific Secretariat is September 10,2006. Confirmation of acceptance by the Scientific Committee will be communicated to thepresenting author until October 1, 2006
2. Arrange your text within the provided as follows:
 -The title – Capitalise the entire title
 -Presenting Authors’ initials and family name followed by the initial and     familynames of Co-Authors. Note that only the First Author and no more than two Co-Authors will belisted in the Author’s index of the Final Program.
 -The Institution from which the paper originates, City, Country.
 -The following organization is to be preferred:
a)     Object of study                              c) Results
b)    Material and method                        d) Conclusions
Typing should be sharp and regular using Times, type 12
3.     Please mark clearly which kind of presentation you prefer (paper - paper or poster -poster - oral). The abstract can only be used for one presentation.
4. Abstracts could be send as simple E-mail message. The text should not exceed 250 words!
5. All abstracts should be written in English.
6. Duration of presentation – up to 10 min.
7. Return the Abstract form to:
Scientific abstracts (or poster presentations) must be structured as follows:
Purpose - Materials and methods - Results - Conclusion
Educational poster abstracts must be structured as follows:
Learning objectives - Background - Imaging Findings or procedure details - Conclusion.
Accepted abstracts will be published in special supplement of Lithuanian scientific Journal "Lietuvos bendrosios praktikos gydytojas"
